Come meet our staff:

Business Administrator: Harry Leuzinger

You will see Harry going in and out of the hospital on a regular basis. Harry loves to meet and talk with people, so feel free to strike up a conversation, or give him feedback on what you like or don’t like about your experience at Lakeline. In addition to handling all the day to day business admin, Harry also helps take care of the landscaping and is the general “fixit” guy.

Harry graduated from Texas A & M in 1990 with a BS in Botany. He previously ran a tropical plant nursery and a landscaping business. Harry’s outside interests these days include fishing, wakesurfing, beekeeping, running, and moving piles of dirt around on his tractor, just for fun. He and Dr. Treadway are happily married and have two wonderful children and two grandchildren.

Reception Team Manager: India Marquette

Our Receptionist Team Manager, India Marquette, was born in Adelaide, South Australia. She spent her youth traveling back and forth from Australia to the United States. After graduating high school, she moved to New York City and worked at the Wilhelmina Agency…until she realized that models were boring. Missing the sunshine of South Australia she decided to fly home. On a whim she stopped in Los Angeles, and was hired to work on a television show. She worked in tv and films from 1992 to 1997, and met her husband Jim, a professional cameraman, during this time. They lived in L.A for the next 8 years raising their two children Remy and Finn…During this time India realized actors were boring. She started working at Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital in Southern California where she became interested in all creatures great and small. In 2006 they moved to Austin and India has been at Lakeline Animal Care ever since.  Her furry family includes 2 naughty dogs, an emotionally challenged African grey parrot, and a geriatric hermit crab.

Veterinary Technician Team Manager: Jeff Johnson

Jeff Johnson is a native Texan, and grew up in the Dallas suburbs.  He moved to Austin during his teen years, and began his career in the veterinary industry as a kennel assistant.  Jeff has been a veterinary technician since 1999, with 5 years experience in Emergency/Critical Care and 12 years in General Practice.  Jeff originally joined the Lakeline Animal Care team in 1999 and was with us until 2006 when he and his wife Shannon moved to Anchorage, Alaska.  He spent 3 years in Alaska working at Emergency Pet Treatment, Inc. and can be seen in old episodes of the Animal Planet TV series "Clinically Wild" where he obtained the title Master Porcupine Quill Remover.  Jeff returned to Lakeline Animal Care in 2010 and is now our Technician Team Manager.

Lead Kennel: James DeRossit

James grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and came to the field of animal care after a decade spent as one of the busiest criminal defense attorneys in Memphis. Seeking a hiatus from the 24-hour pressures of law practice, James took an animal rescue job in Los Angeles and later moved to Austin (where he had lived before as a student at UT Austin). In his role as lead kennel tech, he is known for pampering our boarders and he greatly enjoys getting to know all their delightful quirks and personalities. He lives in Central Austin with his cherished dogs, both former strays: Bailey (a hound dog mix) and Sadie (a shepherd mix known around the clinic for her happy howls). James enjoys reading, writing, watching movies, hiking, swimming at Barton Springs, and martial arts.
