Dr. Carlos Olivares graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and Masters in Wildlife and Fisheries; he received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2011. He spent his first three years after graduation practicing in a 24 hour emergency and referral hospital in Fort Worth. He moved to Austin in 2014 to be closer to family, and enjoys all that Austin has to offer . Dr. Olivares' interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine, and geriatric medicine / hospice care.
Dr. Olivares and his wife, Tammy, have been married for 4 years and recently welcomed a new baby girl named Emma. They also share their home with two cats (Buddy and Thumper) and one dog (Güero). While Dr. Olivares enjoys all sports, he is a HUGE college football fan and watches Texas A&M Football every chance he gets. When he is not at work or watching football, he enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
